Description: Collectors of Rameau are likely to have one of the four or five other recordings of this work. It exists in two versions, from 1739 amnd 1744 and previous recordings have cut and pasted and deleted and conflated them in a do-it-yourself Dardanus fashion. It would appear that this recording uses the revised, final version. Recorded live at the Versailles opera house last year. 2 CDs. French-English libretto.
