Description: The Dutchman Hellendaal moved to London in 1751 and remained there and in Cambridge the rest of his life. Handel helped him get his footing early on and Hellendaal paid his respects with his six Concerti Grossi of 1755 whose scale and melodic style are indebted to the older composer although the Dutchman adds a slightly higher level of virtuosity.
