Description: A keen eye will notice one comparative rarity - Berwald's 1827 concert piece, notable for its use of the melody of Home Sweet Home in its slow middle section. Jacobi is the only composer here who was a bassoonist himself and his 1828 work, much like the Weber in form and in style, has its first recording in its original orchestral form.
