Description: The singer to whom Mozart's Spiegarti non poss'io and Non temer, amato bene concert arias were dedicated, Pollini was also an actor, violinist, pianist and composer who also wrote one of the most detailed theories of piano fingering and touch of the period. The sonatas recorded here, in fine, emotional, minor-key Classical style, were part of a six-sonata appendix to this piano "method". The 1828 Variazioni look forward to Weber and Chopin.
