BERNARDO PASQUINI (1637-1710): 14 Sonatas for 2 Harpsichords.
Catalogue Number: 09N013
Label: Pan Classics
Reference: PC 10247
Description: The manuscript for these sonatas, dated 1704, consists only of the bass, requiring the performers to provide everything else on the basis of shorthand melodic fragments, figures and embellishment notations. The sonatas are often in concerto grosso style and the realization takes account of the fact that Pasquini and Corelli were long-standing collaborators. Attilio Cremonesi, Alessandro De Marchi (harpsichords). Original 1992 release.
