Description: Some of these concertos provided material for later flute concertos; another's (RV 442) original three movements each became a da capo aria in later operas. A great advertisement for Vivaldi's imagination, delicacy, freshness and virtuosity in writing for the recorder (and La Pastorella deliciously and fittingly uses a hurdy-gurdy as part of its continuo ensemble!).
