Description: Works by the three pianist-composers who palled around together, giving concerts and living the good life, in Paris in the early 1830s, performed on an (almost) contemporary instrument. Although not everthing here had been composed by that time (especially by Hiller), the Hiller pieces are the main draw for collectors, take up 38 of the disc's 79 minutes and include five first recordings (the Rhythmische Studien and the third Ghazèle). Tobias Koch (1842 Erard fortepiano).
