Description: Yes, the Reinecke is here yet again, but there are also two other Romantic harp concertos not otherwise available. Parish-Alvars was one of the instrument's great innovators and his concerto is a very attractive piece of minor-key early Romanticism while Zabel (1904-05) combines a late Romantic German seriousness with a final movement full of an almost Gallic balletic grace. Emmanuel Ceysson, Xavier de Maistre (harps), Rheinland-Pfalz State Philharmonic; Hannu Lintu.
