GEORG DRUSCHETZKY (1745-1819): Oboe Quartets in F, G Minor, E Flat & C.

Description: Two of these quartets date from 1807 and 1808 but all four come from Druschetzky's final period of work, in Budapest between 1799 and his death. The oboe gets the expected soloistic opportunities but the strings are also treated as equals in three- and four-movement works of a generally light and serenade-like personality.
