Description: Vol. 2 of this "Brahms and his Buddies" series (last month's Dessoff offering was Vol. 3) brings us another very Brahmsian work from Herzogenberg. As in the piano quintet from our November catalogue which Audite's distributor shipped me zero of, and which marked his conversion from the "new music" associated with Wagner, this mature work of 1883 is completely in the spirit of the great composer who remained Herzogenberg's sole source of inspiration until his death.
