Description: Mendelssohn arranged Handel's first English-language masque in 1828-9, with sister Fanny providing the German texts. A full early Romantic orchestra provides rich colors for this pastoral work but, aside from deleting one aria, Handel's original vocal parts remain intact. German-English texts.
