Description: World-premiere recordings of thees works which represent half of Duport's concerto output. Of uncertain date (Grove allows for "c.1785-1815"!), these are three movement works with catchy rondo finales following cantabile slow movements and full-scale first movements. All demand the virtuosity and singing tone demanded by Duport's famous cello etudes and fall stylistically into the area Mozart and Haydn with a French accent. Hofkapelle Weimar; Peter Hörr (cello).
