Description: Music for cornet/trumpet and for brass ensemble by the two Germans responsible for founding the Russian schools of brass-playing in St. Petersburg and Moscow. Stylistically German, both were also able to write character pieces with a great sympathy for Russian folk elements as Brandt in his Ländliche Bilder ("In the Church", "Under a Lime Tree" and "At the Feast") and Böhme in his Russain Dance. Ensemble Wolfgang Bauer, Oliver Triendl (piano).
