Description: Accompanied by single strings (with cornet reinforcing the soprano voice in ripieno sections) and continuo, this mass was published in Munich in 1689 and is in affirmative, celebratory style. One might note that Bach admired Kerll for his "melodic ingenuity, contrapuntal finesse and harmonic audacity" while Handel helped himself to several of his tunes for his own works. La Risonanza; Fabio Bonizzoni (organ). Original 2000 Symphonia release.
