Description: When offering the Stravinsky disc last month (12N055) from this same label and orchestra, I noticed that I'd somehow missed this June release. Since the Stravinsky did far better than I expected, I figured I'd better offer this one with its live recordings from the festival "Le Paris des Orgues" on May 16, 2010 and at the Opéra-Comique on June 16, 2009. Needless to say, all the period-instrument benefits apply here with French brass and winds going to work for echt-French repertoire. Daniel Roth (1862 Cavaillé-Coll organ of Saint-Sulpice), Jean-François Heisser (1874 Érard piano), Les Siècles; François-Xavier Roth.
