Description: Mostly unknown, youthful Enescu here, everything dating from 1895-1906 (only two of these works have more than two recordings out there right now and four are available only here). Three of them are exam pieces for the Paris Conservatory, others, especially those of Enescu's teen-age years, have quite a bit of Fauré, his teacher at the time, about them. But they all should appeal to collectors of late Romantic French chamber music with embedded Romanian accents about them. Tatiana Samouil (violin), Gérard Caussé (viola), Justus Grimm (cello), Vincent Lucas (flute), Frédéric Mellardi (trumpet), Claudia Bara (piano), Carmen-Elena Rotaru (piano four hands).
