Description: What can you say about eight works for solo flute and three others from a total of 11 composers? Well, five come from the 1970s, the height of Darmstadt avant-garde, but these pieces are fairly tame and some are even rather lyrical. The display pieces, pushing flute technique and exploring extremes of dynamics and registers actually appear more in the more recent pieces. Katrin Zenz (flute), Chara Iacovidou (harpsichord), Angelica Cathariou (mezzo).
