Description: Geminiani wasn't the only composer to help himself to Corelli's violin sonatas as we see here. Three of these Concerti grossi appeared on Harmonia Mundi back in Jan. 2009 - 01K026 - now we get first recordings of two more, and one more premiere - a cello concerto written for the brother of Platti's employer, a quality amateur cellist, whose family archive, the Library of the Counts of Schönborn-Wiesentheid, provided the manuscripts from which both releases were recorded. * - World Premiere Recordings.
