Description: Except for the obvious ones, everything here is an original double bass composition (and Kodály authorized his Epigrams). Overt Hungarian folk style is most pungently (and sometimes ironically) present in Takács' 1985 work but also in Farkas' 1958 Sonatina. The rest are richly Romantic and Lajos Montag's the most fiendishly virtuosic. Leon Bosch (double bass), Sung-Suk Kang (piano).
