Description: All the operas here were written between 1782 1nd 1790, in Italy and France as well as in Italy and, since hardly any of Cherubini's operas have been recorded, the arias make for valuable examples of his both lyrical and virtuosic talents and, especially (and not just in the overtures) his richly varied uses of an often large orchestra.
