Description: Since it's likely that you'll have one of the other 37 (!) recordings of the Janacek sonata and certainly one of the many more of the Mythes, we offer this disc since it contains all three works Lutoslawski wrote for violin and piano: the original version of the Partita which Anne-Sophie Mutter commissioned the orchestration so well-known now, an early (1951) Recitativo e arioso, written before the composer's aleatoric period, and the late (1992) Subito, an explosive and rhythmically intense little five-minute rondo.
