Description: Almost all of Malling's organ works carry Mood-Pictures as part of their titles and they all depict scenes from various parts of the New Testament (and, in the case of the Psalms, the Old too). There is no polyphony or connection with the Bach organ tradition; this is that rare thing in the Romantic period: program music for organ. Malling's extramusical imagery, richness in musical and textural contrasts and significant expressive power make all of these pieces attractive listening.
