Description: With Spanish, Catalonian, Argentinian, Costa Rican and Mexican composers, the title of this recital could probably better have been translated as Latin-American songs. Only the Mompou should be well-known; as to the rest, all is tonal with varying degrees of dependance on modality and folk sources - a delectable untraveled road for sampling by collectors of Western Hemisphere Hispanic art song.
