Description: Published in 1695, the six “Musical Delights” are certainly that, providing series of dances that tickle the ear, not least through a rather chronologically late use of scordatura tuning. The five secular arias were probably dedicated to particular members of Pachelbel’s circle and contain two funeral laments, a picture of the arrival of spring and two more generic types.
