Description: A very nice tranche of mostly unknown late Romantic music from France and Germany headed by the 20-minute Meyer-Olbersleben, virtuosic and more French than German in weight, and Moreau’s 11-minute tone poem which flirts just a bit with Impressionism. M-O’s piano Ballade is well worth the attention of Romantic keyboard collectors too. Miriam Terragni (flute), Catherine Sarasin (piano).
