HENRY LITOLFF (1818-1891): Piano Trios No. 1 in D Minor, Op. 47 and No. 2 in E Flat, Op. 56, Serenade for Violin and Piano, Op. 91.
Catalogue Number: 03V004
Description: Really attractive chamber works by the “one-hit wonder” composer of the famous scherzo of the Concerto symphonique No. 4. Both trios date from around 1850 with Mendelssohn and Alkan’s first piano trio standing behind the first and Schumann present in the second. The 1857 Serenade is a very pretty little piece of salon music. Leonore Piano Trio.
