Description: We’ve known this Polish composer so far through his piano works which show the influence of one of his Russian teachers, Anton Rubinstein. His first quartet, published in 1893, prefers form to emotion and makes no demands on players’ techniques while the Fourth (no date given) is much more complex both formally and harmonically, at times bordering on Expressionism.
