SERGEI PROKOFIEV (1891-1953): The Gambler - 1966 Soviet film.

Description: The sound is actually mono - a grainy, surface/tape-noise mono. But the film is flawless. This might appeal to film buffs as much as to opera collectors. A lot of time was spent on lip-syncing, the period costumes and cinematography (such as it was in the USSR when Super Panavision and Cinerama were abroad in the west).
