Description: Only available recording of the very early (1919) In einer Nacht, a 23-minute cycle of short pieces which takes the Romantic nocturnal depiction and overlays it with an up-to-date expressionistic veneer which takes us very close to nightmare in several instances and ends with popular dance music. Very creepy at times; worth hearing again! The Tanzstücke of 1922 are almost as obscure - five exercises in motion and rhythm which only tangentially touch upon the popular styles dealt with in the contemporaneous Suite "1922".
