Description: A CD release of this came out two years ago on Deutsche Harmonia Mundi, a label I have no access to, so this counts as a DVD world premiere. It would appear from a review of that set (saying it's four hours long) that perhaps a lot of recitative may have been cut for this one, a mere two hours and forty minutes but the arias are quite expressive and powerful - one or two of which you will have heard in Naïve's June 2012 (06N029) pasticcio which used settings of the same libretto by more than a dozen baroque and classical composers. 2 DVDs.
