Description: Wertheim was a member of a prominent Jewish family who maintained an important salon in Warsaw among whose regulars during the first decade of the 20th century were the young Artur Rubinstein, Josef Hoffman and Paweł Kochanski. All the piano music on this disc was offered on an Acte Préalable release in January 2020 (01V040) but collectors of late Romanticism may still want the big, 29-minute violin sonata from 1917.
