Description: Given how well known this composer was for his organ playing and compositions (even aside from his famous Symphonie concertante for organ and orchestra), it's amazing that this is the first project to record it complete. The range is from simple harmonium pieces (played here on a choir organ with a lot more power than the average harmonium) to works written for use in church services, to virtuosic concert pieces to Bach transcriptions (next volume will have transcriptions of works by Jongen's contemporaries also). 2 CDs. Anton Doornhein (Seifert organ, Kevelaer and Van Bever choir organ, Laeken, Belgium).
