Description: The principal bassoonist of the New York Philharmonic since 1981 offers a recital with two particularly attractive and unusual works: bassoonist Milde's concert-style pair of works (he's known, if at all, for teaching études) which also show an idiomatic piano style and Frenchman Andrès melancholy soaked "Songs of a Season Past", a seven-movement suite featuring lush harmonies, modal melodies, flowing rhythms with only one movement faster than andante. Judith Leclair (bassoon), Jonathan Feldman (piano).
