Catalogue Number: 05L065
Reference: 303 1615-2
Description: Dating from 1880 and 1884, Godard's trios are refined and lyrical, sprinkled with piano virtuosity; the minor key first is full of a young man's romantic turbulence has one of the best "stormy night in a Gothic castle" finales around while the second is much more bright and cheery. Fairly conservative music for its period but undeniably attractive and Godard's themes stick in the memory. Trio Parnassus.
