Description: Dutton's third all-German disc offers six tracks (out of 16) which are first recordings and first digital recordings of three more. The most impressive are the overtures for Much Ado (1898) and Henry VIII (1892) the passionate and dramatic Romeo and Juliet interlude (1895) and the somber 1890 Marche. The Coronation music for George V (1911) gets its first orchestral-version recording. The rest is shorter, lighter music except for the rousing and colorful Bacchanalian Dance from 1893's The Tempter. BBC Concert Orchestra; John Wilson.
