Description: A 1952 tone poem lasting 65 minutes, Toldi is inspired by a Hungarian epic poem whose twelve sections are mirrored in Weiner’s music (four more sections were added in 1957 and were included in a 2008 Hungaroton recording now available only as a download) which is resolutely Romantic in style with nothing more modern than what you might hear in Kodály or Viteszlav Novák.
