Description: First recording of the simple and humble mass of 1898 by Dubois (one of 12 he composed in the genre). Although homophonic, Schmitt's two pieces are harmonically rich; Langlais' six pieces, commissioned by the Portsmouth Boys Choir, are equally rich and modal while Duruflé's mass is based on Gregorian chant. French/Latin texts. Antonio Figueroa (tenor), Les Chantres Musiciens, Les Voix d'Elles; Régis Rousseau.
