Description: There's something kind of liberating about seeing an 80-year-old composer using electric guitars in setting verses by a 15th century poet, although the sounds drawn from the instruments come out sounding rather like a harpsichord much of the time. But Guitarre dates from 1933, a work sent to Segovia but which the great guitarist did not play, perhaps because it was an individual experiment in twelve-tone technique. French/German texts. Tino Brütsch (tenor), Samuel Zünd (baritone), René Koch (bass), Harald Stampa (guitar), Benjamin Scheck (second guitar), Richard Pechota (bass guitar), Barbara Vigfusson (soprano), Miriam Terragni (recorder), Antje Maria Traub, Gregor Loepfe (piano duet).
