Description: This Hungarian Jewish composer was a student of Kodály and the four works here show him rapidly developing his own personal style after a quick run through the Kodály-Bartók influences one would expect. The consensus among contemporaries who knew him was that he would have been a major composer. He died in a German labor camp. Monika Hölszky-Wiedemann (violin), Dirk Hegemann (viola), Erik Borgir (cello), Lars Jönsson (piano), Tatiana Ruhland (flute), Members of the Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Saarbrücken Radio Symphony Orchestra; Julian Kuerti.
