Description: At almost half an hour, the Latin Mass of 1865 is one of Moniuszko's biggest sacred works with both archaizing elements and motifs in the spirit of old Polish carols and sacred songs. The 1855 E minor mass is notable for its relaxed, sweet and gentle quality while the A minor work (1856) is unusual in its scoring for women's voices. The Funeral Mass (1859) is for the composer's mother. No texts. Marta Boberska (soprano), Agnieszka Rehlis (alto), Rafal Bartminski (tenor), Jaroslaw Brek (bass), Andrzej Bialko (organ), Warsaw Philharmonic Choir; Henryk Wojnarowski.
