Description: Concerti Curiosi is the title of this agreeable disc of late baroque and early Classical concertos, the marked meaning here of Curiosi being "rare" or "unusual", like Berlin's work - surely one of the last concertos for the cornet to be written (by the most significant polymath you've never heard of) - or Pepusch's and Croft's odd works for four violins. Yet all have Vivaldi's gargantuan influence hanging over them, especially in Reichenauer's delicious concerto from 1725. Charivari Agréable; Kah-Ming Ng (harpsichord).
