ANTONÍN REICHA (1770-1836): Piano Trios, Op. 101, Nos. 1-3.

Description: The only six piano trios Reicha wrote all belong to the same opus number and were first published in 1824. These are fully-fledged pre-Romantic trios in the Beethovenian sense, with all three instruments participating equally, allowing for an almost symphonic argument. Especially striking is the predominantly dark-toned, urgent D Minor work. Guarneri Trio Prague. Original 1996 release.
