Description: Everything here except the Hakim is either by the great French organist or was inspired by him and - here’s the really wild part - is performed on Cochereau’s own house organ, a five-manual instrument which moved twice with him and went into storage after his final move in 1980. It remained there after his death and was moved in 1997 to a good-sized church in a tiny southeastern French village where it was installed with some pre-existing pipes and restored to its original condition. Anthony Hammond (organ of L’Eglise st-Vincent, Roquevaire, France).
