Description: Music written for (the vast majority of these dances) or performed at concerts during the twelve seasons (1856-65, 1869 and 1886) that Strauss visited the Russian imperial capital to conduct his own works, augmented by a short song written by a Russian woman in memory of the affair she had with Strauss in the summer of 1858.
