Description: The 1920 Caprices and Rhythmic Studies constitute an important but hitherto unknown set of character-studies, combining a relaxed lyricism with technical challenges of considerable subtlety for the player. The five-minute Cascades, from c. 1910, suggests a Wagnerian influence otherwise unknown in Jaques-Dalcroze’s works. Paolo Munaò (piano).
