EMILIE MEYER (1812-1883): Piano Trios in D Minor, in A Minor and No. 3 in E Flat.

Description: These works, newly discovered by this ensemble's pianist Katharina Sellheim and specially edited by the trio based on manuscripts, rank with the great piano trios of the 19th century and bring more delicious Romantic music by this more and more prominent female composer. The D minor and “No. 3” were composed somewhere between 1845 and 1855 while the E Flat is circa 1859. Odd that her symphonies seem to have drawn record companies to her chamber music rather than the other way around. Klaviertrio Hannover.
