Description: It would appear that Cortot made most of his arrangements of chamber music for instructional purposes but you won't find out why he chose the ones he did which are recorded here - especially the Franck sonata, the one whose purpose we'd most like to know - because the notes deal with the pieces solely in their original form. Pity but still quite a bit of interest for piano and transcription fanciers. He Yue (piano).
