Description: Kummer was a famous cellist and Schubert a slightly less famous violinist who delighted audiences of the Romantic era with their tuneful and virtuosic duos based on popular operatic tunes of the day (four of the six pieces are derived from opera melodies and the othe two from Swiss and Stryian “national airs”).
