Description: All these composers were students of J.S. Bach and, while all are expectedly firmly grounded in counterpoint, thoroughbass and harmony, what is striking is that the most conservative styles are those of the non-relations. J.C.F.'s 1780 motet, dramatic and orchestral in style is strongly in the mid-century Empfindsamkeit style like his brother C.P.E.'s earlier one. The rest in one way or another pay homage to their master in a much more conservative style. German-English texts. Vocal Consort Dresden, Dresdner Instrumental-Concert; Peter Kopp.
