Description: The 21 century's reigning harp goddess offers a live recital of mostly unusual repertoire and mostly by living composes. Bodorová's "Mystery of the Druids" is the biggest piece here and comes in three evocative movements - "Mystical Beech", "Vindobona" and "Fire Demons" - and I can vouch for its appeal: I was at the world premiere performance here at the Tucson International Chamber Music Festival in 2003. Lukas' short work is equally attractive while the 12-minute Vltava is part harp-transcription of the Smetana tone-poem and part "fantasy" on its themes. Katerina Englichová (harp), Wihan Quartet.
